The Check Recovery Program works like this:

1. Customers check is returned un-paid from their bank.

2. Before the paper check comes back to you, your bank forwards the check to us. (your bank sends you a debit memo referenceing that item)

3. We convert the check to an electronic item.

4. We attempt to debit the account for the face value of the check. (the Law allows three attempts, you have already made one attempt)

5. When we debit the face value of the check we credit the full face value to your account.

6. We do not charge you for the processing. When we collect a check we then go back to the same account and collect the state allowed NSF fee (currently $25.00 in NC). We keep the fee.

We collect about 80% of all NSF checks we receive in this manner. Un-collected checks are returned to you or they can be forwarded to our secondary collections company.

We deposit to your account daily.

We report activity to you daily by fax or email so you know what checks have come in and where they are at in the process.

There are no set-up fees to you the merchant and we do not charge you any fees on this program.
